RATIONALE

All phenomena in the universe are the result of the confluence of two factors, Necessity and Chance, a factor which determines the orderly fixed pattern of things and a factor which results in apparently random variations in those determinations. Necessity is responsible for the laws of Nature discoverable by science as well as the characteristic properties of energy, matter and life forms. Chance is responsible for the apparent randomness and variation, for the evolutionary mutations and differences found within each category of occurrence. The principal goal of Indian Academy Group of Institutions is to provide educational and scientific tools that will help to meet the resulting challenges.

THE EVENT
Confluence was started as an intercollegate congregation of post graduate students of life science and chemistry in the year 2004. Since then, it has become an important annual event in the academic calender of indian academy group of institutions. The scope and magnitude of the event continues to grow with increased participation from students and faculty of all affiliated P.G.colleges of bangalore university.
It is an ideal platform for post graduate students to interact with scintists and experts engaged in research and HR. Consequently, Confluence: where ideas merge.
